Compare the reward with the cost of arrest
For steady earnings, choose a job: every crime has a negative expected result in the base-probability, first-record comparison where you pay the fine after arrest. Compare the reward and fine exposure together before choosing an in-game crime action.
A crime's Reward range is the money from a successful escape. Arrest sends you to the arrest choices, while the successful reward branch pays after you evade capture. The action's time and detention time have separate meanings, so check both durations before choosing.
The cards include Spray Graffiti on the Wall, Sneak into the VIP Section, Pickpocket a Trader, Shoplift at the Supermarket, Fight the Agbero, Sell Fake Designer Bags and Hack an ATM. Sort by expected result to compare the financial effect of their rewards and catch risks together.
Pickpocket a Trader has a ₦4,950 average reward after catch risk and ₦27,000 average fine exposure, giving a −₦22,050 result in this scenario. Hack an ATM gives ₦900,000 in average reward after catch risk but ₦14,000,000 in average fine exposure, giving −₦13,100,000. The larger successful reward carries a much larger financial risk.
Each average reward is the midpoint of the successful reward range multiplied by the chance of escaping. Average fine exposure is the base fine multiplied by the catch chance. Their difference is the Expected result with fine paid. This comparison uses the game's base chances and first record; use the next section to understand how your skill and record change your own choice.
How do skills and my record change the risk?
Fitness reduces the base catch chance for Pickpocket and Shoplift by 1 percentage point per level. Sell Fake Designer Bags reduces it by 2 percentage points for each Charisma level above 3; Hack an ATM reduces it by 4 percentage points for each Coding level above 6. The resulting catch chance stays between 15% and 90%. Use Skills to find training for the skill relevant to your chosen activity.
Each existing record adds 25% of the base amount to the fine, up to 3× the base fine, and to the detention length before rounding, up to 2× the base length. Detention rounds to whole game minutes and stays between 1 and 6 game minutes. A first Pickpocket arrest lasts 3 game minutes; the crime activity itself has a separate duration on each card.
What can I choose after arrest?
The arrest menu offers paying the fine, waiting in the cell or calling a lawyer. Paying the fine clears the current arrest. Waiting uses detention time; bail and lawyer options depend on the current case and the time left.
Bail settings have a ₦2,000 minimum, ₦1,000,000 maximum and a 40% share of the fine. The quote also uses the remaining detention time. Read that current quote before choosing bail.
For the ordinary arrest lawyer, the fee is 35% of the fine with a ₦20,000 minimum. A lawyer called from the cell costs 50% of the current bail quote with a ₦10,000 minimum. These fees round to ₦1,000. The base lawyer win chance is 50%; each Charisma level adds 2 percentage points and Good Lawyer adds 15 percentage points. The ordinary chance caps at 80%; a player counsel bonus can raise the combined chance to a maximum of 88%.
Where are the court and legal workplaces?
Court cases use Lagos High Court in Igbosere, Lagos Island. Check the court date displayed in your case and arrive through the map's High Court choice. An ordinary hearing is scheduled 5–15 game minutes ahead, so read the time as soon as the case opens. Missing the hearing loses the case. A player lawyer is available through Phone → Police.
Player counsel fees span ₦10,000–₦50,000,000. Player counsel adds 3 percentage points plus 2 percentage points per counsel career level. Levels are counted from 0 to 4, giving at most 11 extra percentage points; read the case's fee and counsel offer before accepting. NPC counsel names include Barr. Adaeze Okafor, Barr. Tunde Bakare, Barr. Funmi Adeyemi, Barr. Emeka Obi, Barr. Zainab Bello and Barr. Segun Alade.
The Law career uses Lagos High Court as its workplace. The court also offers Watch a Trial from the Gallery, Gist with the Wigs, Practise a Closing Argument and Help at the Legal Aid Desk. For legal training with no fixed activity fee, Practise a Closing Argument is a Charisma action. Supreme Court of Nigeria provides legal-themed visits in Abuja.
