    Getting Started in Lagos Life

    · Game data

Plan your weekly wages, rent and repayments, then compare the two starting backgrounds.

    Plan your weekly budget

Choose your city and background, then select a job, rank, salary grade and home. The calculator starts with that job's scheduled shifts; change the number for the shifts you plan to complete, then add your other weekly spending.

The result adds your base shift wages for the game week, applies the weekly wage-tax allowance and bands, then subtracts rent, LAPO repayment and other spending. Nepo's starting home has its rent covered; when you choose another home, its base rent goes into the budget. Use the remaining amount to plan food, travel and your next purchase.

These are base game values. Skills, degrees, employee bonuses and active salary policies can change your in-game wage quote. The starting cash and loan proceeds are separate from the recurring weekly income shown here.

    Compare Nepo and LAPO

Choose Nepo Baby for a furnished home, an established career and ₦500,000 pocket money. Choose LAPO Baby for a loan-funded start and a training bonus, with ₦12,000 due each game week. All ₦ amounts here are Game Naira.

Starting choice Nepo Baby LAPO Baby
Starting money ₦500,000 pocket money ₦60,000 loan proceeds
Loan commitment The background supplies pocket money without the LAPO loan ₦72,000 owed; ₦12,000 per game week
Home Furnished city home, with rent paid by Daddy Your city's hard or balanced starting home
Career City-specific job and starting rank below Open Phone → Jobs to choose work
Starting skill benefit Charisma starts at level 2 Hustle starts at level 2; 25% more training at the same skill level and state
Vehicle Prado supplied; budget for fuel Compare transport costs before buying a vehicle

Nepo suits a start with an established job and fewer immediate rent commitments. LAPO suits a character you want to build through training and work: keep the weekly repayment in your budget before buying optional furniture or a car. Skill growth slows as your current skill rises; LAPO's bonus applies alongside that slowdown.
