Lagos Life transport and city travel

    · Game data

Trek costs nothing for local travel. For a longer journey, compare the fare shown for Keke, Danfo, Okada or Cab; between cities, use airport flights, bus services or your own car.

All ₦ amounts are game currency. Your travel quote includes the price changes that apply to your character and trip.

    Choose local or intercity travel

For a cheap paid local ride, start with Keke or Danfo: they share the lowest starting fare and distance rate. Okada, Cab and your car share a base short-trip time of 2 real seconds; Danfo and Keke use 2.5 real seconds. When the street animation runs, ordinary local motor journeys take at least 12 real seconds, so paying more for Cab does not buy a shorter base travel time.

The street animation raises an ordinary local motor journey to at least 12 real seconds. With a personal driver, your local car trip takes 75% of the usual time: its base quote is 1.5 real seconds and its street-animation minimum is 9 real seconds. Walking time increases with distance, as shown above.

The fare starts with the starting fare plus the distance charge. The game rounds the quote to ₦50 before applying your wealth price tier. Fuel shortages raise paid travel costs; Transport subsidy halves Danfo and Keke fares; Cab fares also rise during peak hours. Read the fare beside your selected ride before paying.

Your car uses the selected vehicle's fuel cost. With an employed personal driver, your local car trip has no fuel charge. The driver has a separate ₦40,000 base wage per game week, so compare an existing driver's trips separately from the cost of hiring one. Use Housing for household staff, Cars for vehicle fuel costs and Insurance for ownership cover.

    Flights, night buses and driving

Book a flight at your departure airport's Book a Flight activity; the general intercity menu's Flight option is locked and directs you there. Choose your destination and cabin, then check the complete ticket price, including a transfer and passenger insurance if selected.

Connection Airport Economy base fare Bus route reference fare
    Lagos ↔ Abuja ₦150,000 ₦22,000
    Lagos ↔ Port Harcourt ₦120,000 ₦20,000
    Abuja ↔ Port Harcourt ₦140,000 ₦21,000

Airport fares start with the route's Economy price. Premium Economy costs 1.8 times that price, Business 4 times and First Class 9 times, before the booking screen's other price changes. Choose Economy for the lowest cabin cost, and compare the final quote when changing cabin.

The general GIG night bus costs ₦25,000, describes 3 game hours of travel and takes 60 real seconds. Bus-park services have their own model and operator offers, built around the route reference fares above. Compare them at Jibowu Motor Park in Lagos or Waterlines Motor Park in Port Harcourt. A reference fare gives you a starting point for comparison; use the selected service's ticket quote to pay.

For intercity self-drive, the fuel bill uses the selected car’s base fuel cost per km multiplied by the route distance, then applies fuel-shortage and wealth price changes. Round the fuel amount to ₦50 and add any selected passenger cover. The journey describes 2.5 game hours and takes 48 real seconds; rush hour raises these to 3 game hours and 58 real seconds. Self-drive costs 24 Energy and 16 Hygiene points; the general night bus costs 18 Energy and 16 Hygiene points. Refill those needs before a road trip.

With a personal driver, the intercity fare becomes a ₦20,000 base road allowance, adjusted by your wealth price tier, instead of the self-drive fuel bill. Keep that allowance and any selected passenger cover available; the driver’s wage per game week is separate.

    Airports and onward travel

Use Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Ikeja, Lagos; Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport on Airport Road, Abuja; or Port Harcourt International Airport in Omagwa. Their place pages show local activities and opening hours.

After choosing a destination, use Cities & Places to find the activity you want there. For running your own service, compare the separate Bus Business costs.

    Passenger travel insurance and incidents

Select passenger insurance on the booking screen before departure. Its base price uses the fare and the minimum for that mode, rounded to ₦50; check the premium shown alongside your ticket.

Mode Share of fare used for cover Base minimum premium
    Flight 6% ₦5,000
    Night bus 10% ₦1,000
    Drive 8% ₦5,000
    Private jet 5% ₦0
    Chopper 0.5% ₦0

For a Lagos–Abuja Economy booking, the ₦150,000 base ticket gives a ₦9,000 premium at 6%, above the ₦5,000 minimum. Keep ₦159,000 for the base ticket and cover together, then add any airport transfer and price changes shown at booking.

Flight luggage loss has a base chance of 14% in Economy, 11% in Premium Economy, 8% in Business and 6% in First Class. Bus luggage loss uses 12%, private jets use 5% and choppers use 6%. Passenger cover pays for the covered luggage incident; the luggage replacement bill uses 30% of the trip fare with a ₦10,000 base minimum.

Each bus journey also has an 8% base pickpocket chance and a 3% base accident chance. Pickpocket loss uses 8% of your cash, capped at ₦300,000 before personal price changes; the check applies when you carry at least ₦1,000. The accident's base clinic bill is ₦80,000 and it costs 12 Energy points. A bus's safety changes its accident risk.

For each driving journey, the separate base incident checks are breakdown 10%, flat tyre 8% and checkpoint fine 6%. A breakdown bill uses 6% of the same car price used for resale, capped at ₦150,000, and costs 10 Energy and 8 Hunger points. A flat tyre has a ₦25,000 base bill; a checkpoint fine is ₦10,000. Choose cover when you want these incident costs included in the trip protection, then keep the full ticket-and-cover amount available before boarding.
